News from Beijing on December 15 (Reporter: Siqi Meng) On the evening of December 14, after the Sino-European New Year Concert 2014 held in Beijing, Dan Zhu, chief violinist of the concert said that he had played violin on the snow mountain in Neko in Antarctica and participants from all over the world that took part in the Antarctica Expedition of the Antarctic Forum 2013 enjoyed his performance. After that, he held 3 theme concerts with Ning An, pianist and Robino Gregorio, cellist in Antarctica. It was the first concert that had been held in Antarctica.


The Expedition to Antarctica 2013 organized by the Antarctica Forum headquartered in Hong Kong lasted 11 days. 165 scientists, scholars, religion and business leaders from all over the world participated in it. During the expedition, 2 theme speech events, 2 global video conferences, 3 Antarctic concerts and over 20 lectures and talks were held. It was also the first time that a humanistic international forum had been held in Antarctica.
